Mission Statement

For the eighth consecutive year, Daemen University has been selected by Victory Media as a Military Friendly School, which is awarded to top colleges, universities and trade schools in the country for doing the most to embrace student veterans and have dedicated resources to ensure their success in the classroom and beyond graduation.

Daemen has also been named a top school in the 2017 Military Advanced Education and Transition Guide to Colleges and Universities that measures best practices in military and veteran education.

Daemen University participates in the Principles of Excellence program, and has agreed to the following program guidelines:
  • We provide students with a personalized form covering the total cost of an education program
  • We provide educational plans for all military and veteran education beneficiaries.
  • We pledge to never use fraudulent or aggressive recruiting techniques nor misrepresent what our College has to offer
  • We accommodate servicemembers and reservists absent due to service requirements
  • We have designated contact personnel to provide academic and financial advice to servicemembers,  veterans, and other military-aligned students
  • We have aligned institutional refund policies with those under Title IV, which governs the administration of federal student financial aid programs.
Daemen University is a private, nonsectarian, co-educational, comprehensive college in Amherst, New York, chartered to award both undergraduate and graduate level degrees. Located in a safe and attractive suburban setting, Daemen offers convenient access to one of the country’s most vibrant regions, spanning Buffalo-Niagara, the Great Lakes, and a cross-border corridor with Ontario, Canada, less than a two-hour drive from cosmopolitan Toronto.

With a balance of liberal studies and professional programs, Daemen students acquire the skill to solve problems creatively and think critically. They will be comfortable with diversity and will recognize the importance of a global perspective. They will be able to work with others and be invigorated by environments that present challenges and demand innovation.
