Veterans DoD MOU

To date, more than 2,000 of the nation’s institutions of higher education, including many schools formerly designated as Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) signed the Department of Defense (DOD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which ensures all educational providers understand and agree to abide by DoD policies prior to enrolling Service member into their institution; articulates the commitment and agreement educational institutions provide to DoD by accepting funds via the Services’ Tuition Assistance (TA) programs in exchange for educational services; and permits institutions with signed MOUs to participate in the TA program. This agreement will provide enhanced education opportunities and protections to service members, veterans, spouses and other family members.

Schools participating in the DOD MOU will continue to recognize credit for military training, occupational specialty experience (as they apply to a degree program), examination credit, and other sources of prior learning while building on course and degree articulations to enhance degree completion.

The following pages list schools that currently participate in the Department of Defense Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding. Please visit www.dodmou.com for a comprehensive list that includes all branch campuses and extension centers.
